Itinerary
Arrive at Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi (LGB) Airport at Guwahat or Poltan Bazaar rail station at Guwahati. Endeavour Holidays representative assist you to your vehicle and detailed about your tour plan, then proceed to Kaziranga National Park.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Early Morning an optional Elephant ride / Jeep Safari at Kaziranga (on direct payment basis) to the central range of the National park accompanied by a guide for around 2 hours. During this trip, one will get a chance to spot various exotic flora and fauna along with the famous one-horned Rhinoceros.
Same day Check-out of the hotel and drive to Shillong:
Afternoon check out from Hotel and drive you towards Shilong.On arrival, check-in at the hotel and overnight stay.
After breakfast , a simple visit to Jowai (90 kms / 3 hrs drive approx). Jowai is one of the most beautiful towns in the Jaintia Hills district. This district is inhabited by the Jaintia tribes of Meghalaya. It is known for its natural beauty. It is blessed with good rainfall, glorious sunshine, lush green vegetation, towering plateaus, mesmerizing valleys, romantic rivers and enchanting waterfalls. The Jowai is located at a height of 1,380 m above sea level. En route you will get a chance to see the nature at its best – rice terraces, forests of oak and pine, beautiful meadows and gushing rivers. The Jowai town is a photographer’s joy.
After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong Village known as the cleanest village in Asia and the God’s own Garden. On arrival, visit the Living Root Bridge. A little hiking is required to see the magnificent bridge (hiking approx 1 hour). Then visit the Balancing Rock, a small stone holding a big rock by balancing it on above it and the Tree House (watch tower) made by the local people of the village.We get back to our base for lunch. Take your time for yourself, making notes, checking the picture.Then we‘ll go out for Dawki sightseeing-dawki River and Dawki Bridge.Return back to Shillong. Stay overnight at Shillong.
Cherrapunji is the wettest place in the world. There are lots of spectacular view points on the way to Cherrapunjee. The Cherrapunji is a land of wonderful waterfalls and beautiful valleys.
Some of the Main Attractions are the Ramakrishna Mission Museum, First Presbyterian Church, Mawsmai Fall, Nohkalikai Falls, and Eco Park etc.
Mawsmai cave near Cherrapunji are an experience in itself, the limestone caves are well lit up. But if you want to thrill yourself more, climb up to the caves which are not lit up, they are guaranteed to spook you as one has to crawl their way in.
Evening return to Shillong for overnight.
To day we start with splendid waterfalls cascading down deep valleys forming misty sparks as they roaring to break the silence of the surroundings.Visit Shillong Peak, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christian, Elephant Falls, Lady Hydari Park, Wards Lake, etc. Afternoon Transfer to Guwahati.
Overnight Stay at Guwahati.
After breakfast, Check-out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey taking enchanting memories of Assam and Meghalaya.
